• Listings and content: Title, description, price, category, photos, and other details you provide when creating a listing.
• Messages: Messages you send and receive through the ChrisList in-app messaging system.
• Transaction data: Records of transactions, including item details, amounts, timestamps, and the parties involved. We do not store your full payment card information — that is handled by Stripe.
• Communications with us: If you contact us for support or send feedback, we retain those communications.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage and behavioral data: Pages visited, listings viewed, searches performed, time spent, and interactions with features.
• Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and referring URLs.
• Cookies: We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and analyze usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate the Service: Create and manage your account, display listings, facilitate messaging, and process transactions.
• Improve and personalize the platform: Understand how users interact with ChrisList to fix problems, build better features, and surface more relevant listings.
• Communicate with you: Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets, purchase receipts) and — with your consent — promotional messages.

• Geocoding: When you enter a zip code, we use geocoding services to convert that to geographic coordinates for mapping features.

We do not use your data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you without human review.

• Other users: Your public profile (name, general location, listings, and ratings) is visible to other users. Messages are shared only with the intended recipient.

Deletion works as follows:

• Messages will be deleted after the standard 2-year retention period.
• Listing content and photos will be removed promptly upon confirmed deletion.

We will process deletion requests within 30 days of verification.

7.3 Communication Preferences

You can opt out of promotional emails at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any marketing email or contacting us directly. Transactional emails (purchase confirmations, security alerts) cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

ChrisList is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. 10. Location Information

ChrisList is focused on the Louisville, Kentucky area and surrounding communities. We use your zip code to show you relevant local listings and calculate approximate distances. We do not collect your precise real-time GPS location unless you explicitly grant that permission.

Location data you provide (zip code, city) is used to make the marketplace experience more relevant to you. It is not sold or shared with advertising networks.
